Cody, Wyoming, founded in 1896 by Colonel William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody, is a city with a population of approximately 10,000 people as of 2020. It is the county seat of Park County and is located 52 miles from Yellowstone National Park's east entrance. The city is known for its Old West history and culture, with the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a complex containing five museums, being a major attraction. Cody is also home to the nightly Rodeo, which runs from June to August and is considered one of the top outdoor rodeos in the country.
