North Franklin, Connecticut, established in May 1786, is a town in New London County. It was originally part of the town of Franklin until it was split off and incorporated as North Franklin. The town is primarily rural, with a population of approximately 4,500 residents. North Franklin is home to the Connecticut National Golf Landmark, the Fox Hollow Golf Course, which was designed by Robert Trent Jones II and opened in 1996. The town's economy is largely based on agriculture, with several farms and nurseries operating within its borders.
