Rainier, WA, US is a city located in Pierce County, established in 1887 and incorporated on March 10, 1947. It was originally a logging community and is named after Mount Rainier, a nearby volcano. The city is home to the "Rainier Flour Mill," a historic landmark and the last remaining flour mill in Washington State. Rainier has a population of approximately 1,700 as of the 2020 census.
