Aylett, Virginia, US is a small unincorporated community in King and Queen County. It was established in the 18th century and named after the Aylett family, who were prominent plantation owners in the area. The community is home to the historic Aylett Hall, a Georgian-style plantation house built in 1778. During the Civil War, Aylett served as a stop on the Richmond and West Point Terminal Railway, which was used to transport troops and supplies. Today, the community is primarily residential with a population of around 500.
