Magnolia is a city in Columbia County, Arkansas, US, established in 1853 and incorporated in 1858. It was named after the magnolia trees in the area. The city served as a commercial center for the surrounding agricultural region. The Southwest Railroad Depot, built in 1910, is a notable landmark, representing Magnolia's railroad history. Today, Magnolia has a population of approximately 11,000 and is home to Southern Arkansas University.
