Antelope is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California, US. It was established in the 1850s as a railroad town and was originally called "Antelope Station". The name was changed to "Antelope" in 1892. The community is known for its large population of pronghorn antelope, from which it takes its name. A notable attraction in Antelope is the Antelope Greathouse, a historic building that was once a stagecoach stop and is now a museum.
