Hacienda Heights, California, US is an unincorporated community in Los Angeles County. It has a population of approximately 55,000 people and was originally part of the Rancho La Puente land grant. The area was primarily agricultural until the post-World War II housing boom, which led to its residential development. A notable attraction is the Hsi Lai Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the Western Hemisphere, which was built in 1988.
