Willits, CA, US is a city in Mendocino County, founded in 1857 and incorporated in 1888. It was originally a stagecoach stop on the road between San Francisco and Eureka, and later became a railroad town. The city is named after Henry D. Willits, a railroad official. A notable attraction is the Ridgewood Ranch, the former home and breeding farm of racehorse Seabiscuit.
