Winchester, CA, US is a small city in Riverside County, founded in 1886 by Henry Evans. It was originally a railway town and later became a farming community, producing crops such as citrus and grapes. The city was incorporated in 1964 and has since grown to a population of approximately 25,000. A notable attraction is the Winchester Mystery House, a large Victorian mansion with a confusing labyrinth of rooms and corridors, built by Sarah Winchester, widow of firearm magnate William Wirt Winchester.
