Sutton, Massachusetts is a town located in Worcester County, established in 1704. It was originally part of the Native American territory of the Nipmuc tribe before being granted to settlers by the Massachusetts General Court. The town is named after Thomas Sutton, the founder of the Charterhouse School in London. Sutton is home to the Manchaug Pond, a popular attraction for boating and fishing. Today, the town covers an area of 40.5 square miles and has a population of approximately 9,000 people.
