Plaistow, New Hampshire, US is a town in Rockingham County, established in 1749. It was originally part of the town of Haverhill, Massachusetts, and was incorporated as a separate town in 1769. Plaistow is named after a village in England and has a population of approximately 7,500. The town is home to the historic Hoyt House, a Victorian-style mansion built in 1885, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Plaistow is primarily a residential community with some light manufacturing and commercial development.
