West Seneca is a town in Erie County, New York, US, founded in 1851. It was previously part of the Buffalo Creek Reservation and was named after the Seneca nation. The town covers an area of 39.2 square miles, with a population of approximately 44,000. It is home to the Southgate Plaza, a notable landmark and one of the first enclosed shopping malls in the United States, built in 1954.
