Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, US is a borough in Montgomery County, established in 1752. It was named after William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania. The town was initially a farming community, but the industrial revolution brought textile mills and other industries. The town is home to the Pennsburg Historic District, which features buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
