Eastaboga, Alabama, located in Talladega County, was originally inhabited by the Creek Native Americans. The town was first named "Eastaboga Station" after a trading post established in the 1840s. In 1898, it was renamed "Simpson" when it was incorporated as a town, but reverted to its original name in 1960. Eastaboga is known for the Talladega Superspeedway, a renowned NASCAR racetrack, which is located nearby.
