Repton, Alabama, US is a town in Conecuh County, founded in 1812. It was named after the English statesman and scholar, Sir John Repton. The town served as the county seat until 1868, when it was moved to Evergreen. Repton is known for its historic district, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1999, which showcases several well-preserved antebellum and Victorian homes. The town's most notable landmark is the Old Cemetery, the final resting place of many early settlers and Confederate soldiers.
