Vinemont, Alabama, located in Cullman County, was established in the early 20th century. It was primarily an agricultural community, with a focus on cotton and dairy farming. The town was incorporated in 1961 and has since grown to a population of around 5,000. Vinemont is home to the Ave Maria Grotto, a notable landmark featuring over 125 miniature reproductions of famous religious structures, created by Brother Joseph Zoettl, a Benedictine monk, between 1934 and 1958.
