Hiwasse is a small town in Benton County, Arkansas, United States, with a population of just over 600 as of the 2020 census. The town was established in the late 1800s and was originally a farming community. In the early 1900s, the town became a stop on the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway, leading to its growth as a shipping center for agricultural products. Today, Hiwasse is known for the nearby Beaver Lake, a popular destination for outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, and camping.
