Salem is a city in Fulton County, Arkansas, United States. It was established in 1849 and named after Salem, Massachusetts. The city is known for its historic downtown district, which includes the Salem Courthouse, built in 1852 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Salem is also home to the Salem School District and the annual Fulton County Fair. The city has a population of approximately 1,500 as of the 2020 census.
