Eads, Colorado, US is a small town located in Kiowa County in the southeastern part of the state. It was established in 1909 and named after James Buchanan Eads, a Civil War engineer and pioneer in the construction of river barges. The town was originally a farming and railroad community, and its economy has since shifted towards energy production, including wind and oil.
