Ordway, Colorado, US is the county seat of Crowley County, established in 1909. It was named after Harry Ordway, a cattleman and land developer. The town was initially a farming and agricultural community, with the surrounding area used for dryland farming. In 1976, the Crowley County Courthouse, a notable landmark, was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Today, Ordway has a population of approximately 1,000 people.
