Severance, Colorado, US is a home rule municipality in Weld County, established in 1907. It was named after W.G. Severance, a director of the Colorado & Southern Railway. The town was originally a shipping point for sugar beets and later became a center for agriculture and livestock. The town's water tower, built in 1926, is a notable landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1986.
