Fort McCoy is a small unincorporated community located in Marion County, Florida, US. It was named after a fort built during the Second Seminole War in the 1830s. The fort no longer exists, but the community has grown and now includes a post office, a few churches, and a number of homes. A notable landmark in the area is the Fort McCoy School, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
