Abbeville is a city in Wilcox County, Georgia, US, with a population of approximately 2,700 as of 2019. It was incorporated in 1857 and named after the town of Abeville, South Carolina. The city has a rich history, with many antebellum homes and buildings still standing, including the Wilcox County Courthouse, built in 1903. Abbeville is also home to the Holliday-Dorsey-Fife House, a museum that was once the residence of Sarah Guernsey Holliday, the mother of President Jimmy Carter.
