Blythe, Georgia, US is a city located in Richmond County, founded in 1879. It was named after a local physician, Dr. Blythe. The city was incorporated in 1907 and had a peak population of around 1,000 in the mid-20th century. Blythe is home to the National Science Center's Fort Discovery, a popular educational attraction with interactive exhibits and historical collections. Today, the city has a population of approximately 700.
