Brooks, Georgia, US is a town located in Fayette County, established in 1908. It was named after Preston Brooks, a congressman from South Carolina. The town was originally a railroad depot and later developed into a small agricultural community. The most notable landmark in Brooks is the Stovall Mill Covered Bridge, built in 1904, which is one of the few remaining covered bridges in Georgia.
