Hazlehurst is a city in Jeff Davis County, Georgia, US. It was incorporated in 1903 and named after George Hazlehurst, a prominent citizen and president of the Savannah, Florida and Western Railroad. The city played a significant role during the Civil War as a supply hub for Confederate troops. A notable attraction is the Old Jefferson County Jail, built in 1912, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
