Helen, Georgia is a re-creation of a Bavarian alpine village located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of the southeastern United States. It covers an area of 2.1 square miles and has a population of approximately 500. The town was incorporated in 1913 and its architecture was transformed into a Bavarian style in the 1960s to attract tourists. A notable attraction is the Alpine Helen Village, a replica of a German town, which features shops, restaurants, and hotels.
