Warm Springs, Georgia, is a small town in southern US known for its natural warm springs, which have been reputed to have therapeutic properties since the early 19th century. Originally inhabited by the Creek Native Americans, the town gained popularity in the late 1700s when European settlers discovered the warm springs. In the 1920s and 1930s, the town became a retreat for President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who sought relief from polio in the warm waters. The Little White House, Roosevelt's home in Warm Springs, is now a museum and popular attraction.
