Caseyville is a city in St. Clair County, Illinois, United States, and a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Founded in 1859, it was named after attorney and railroad promoter, Thomas Casey. The city was incorporated in 1907 and has since grown to a population of approximately 14,000 residents. Caseyville is home to the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which features the remains of the most sophisticated prehistoric native civilization north of Mexico.
