Gridley, Illinois, US is a small town in McLean County, founded in 1854. It was named after Zimri A. Gridley, a veteran of the Black Hawk War. The town covers an area of 1.1 square miles and had a population of 1,415 as of the 2020 census. Gridley is home to the historic Gridley Township Hall, built in 1896, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
