Lexington is a village in McLean County, Illinois, US. It was founded in 1856 and incorporated in 1875. The village is named after Lexington, Massachusetts, the site of the first battle of the American Revolutionary War. Lexington is home to the historic Chinking House, a well-preserved example of early Illinois pioneer architecture. The village has a population of approximately 2,000 residents.
