Rockton is a village in Winnebago County, Illinois, United States. It was incorporated in 1869 and has a population of approximately 7,600 as of 2019. The village is known for its historic downtown area and the Sinnissippi Park, a popular attraction with hiking trails, a fishing pond, and a disc golf course. Rockton is home to the Burpee Museum of Natural History, which features a notable exhibit of a juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton named "Jane".
