Sheridan, Illinois, US is a village located in La Salle County, founded in 1864. It was named after Philip Sheridan, a Civil War general. The village was incorporated in 1877 and had a population of 2,855 as of the 2020 census. Sheridan is home to the historic Sheridan Hotel, a notable landmark built in 1910, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
