Waverly is a village located in Morgan County, Illinois, US. It was established in 1836 and incorporated in 1873. The village was named after Sir Walter Scott's novel "Waverley." Waverly is home to the historic Waverly Railroad Depot, which was built in 1896 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The depot now serves as a museum and community center.
