Dale, Indiana, US is a town in Spencer County, established in 1883 and incorporated in 1905. It was named after General Samuel Dale, a hero of the Creek War. The town covers an area of 0.79 square miles and had a population of 1,593 as of the 2010 census. Dale is home to the Lincoln Amphitheatre, a notable landmark situated in Lincoln State Park, where Abraham Lincoln spent his formative years.
