Fowler, Indiana, US is a town in Benton County, established in 1854. It was named after Major John S. Fowler, a surveyor and civil engineer. The town served as a significant stop on the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railroad. Fowler is known for the Fowler Theatre, a historic movie theater built in 1940, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
