Lagrange, IN, US is a town in LaGrange County, founded in 1836. It was named after the French mathematician, Joseph-Louis Lagrange. The town served as a stop on the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railroad. Lagrange is known for its well-preserved historic buildings, including the Lagrange County Courthouse, built in 1878, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
