Monrovia is a town in Morgan County, Indiana, US, with a population of approximately 1,100 as of 2019. It was platted in 1834 and incorporated as a town in 1851. The town was named after President James Monroe. The Monrovia Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, features several well-preserved 19th-century buildings, including the Greek Revival style Morgan County Courthouse, built in 1859.
