Waynetown, Indiana, US is a town in Madison Township, Tipton County. It was platted in 1836 and incorporated in 1870. The town was named after Wayne Cockrum, the original owner of the town site. Waynetown's notable landmark is the Waynetown Christian Church, built in 1857, which is an example of early Gothic Revival architecture and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
