Bucklin, Kansas, established in 1873, is a small town in Ford County. It was named after Bucklin, Missouri, the original home of many of its early settlers. The town served as a shipping point for cattle and wheat in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Bucklin is known for its historic downtown district, which includes the Bucklin State Bank Building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
