Riley, Kansas, US is a small city located in Riley County, established in 1855. It was named after prominent settler and legislator, Freeman Riley. The city served as a supply point for nearby Fort Riley and experienced growth during the railroad expansion. Today, Riley is home to the Kansas State University's Stanley C. Albrecht Experimental Field Station, a notable agricultural research center.
