Butler, Kentucky, US is a small town in Pendleton County, established in 1815. It was named after William O. Butler, a major general in the Mexican-American War and a congressman. The town covers a total area of 0.4 square miles and had a population of 570 as of the 2020 census. Butler is home to the historic Butler-Turpin House, a federal-style brick mansion built in 1835, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
