Garrison, Kentucky is a small town located in Bourbon County, with a population of just over 800 as of the 2020 census. It was established in 1843 and named after Colonel William L. Garrard, a veteran of the War of 1812. The town is home to the Garrison Covered Bridge, a historic landmark built in 1877, which is the last remaining covered bridge in the county. The bridge, which spans 126 feet, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a popular tourist attraction.
