The town is home to the Gray Fossil Site, a notable landmark and active paleontological dig site that has yielded numerous discoveries, including the remains of ancient plants and animals that once inhabited the region over 7 million years ago. Today, Gray has a population of around 500 residents and is a quiet, rural community.
