Lebanon, Kentucky, US is the county seat of Marion County. It was established in 1785 and named after the Biblical Cedars of Lebanon. The city is known for its historic downtown district, which includes the Marion County Courthouse, a Beaux-Arts style building constructed in 1905. Lebanon is also home to the Kentucky Railway Museum, which features exhibits on the state's railroad history. The city has a population of approximately 6,300 as of 2019.
