Princeton, Kentucky, US is the county seat of Caldwell County. It was established in 1820 and named after Princeton, New Jersey, the alma mater of many early settlers. The town is known for its historic downtown district, which includes the Caldwell County Courthouse, built in 1892. Princeton is also home to the Dr. Thomas H. Hays House, a well-preserved example of Greek Revival architecture. The town has a population of approximately 6,000 people.
