Royalton, Kentucky is a small town in the eastern part of the state, established in the late 1800s as a coal mining community. It is located in southeastern Perry County, and as of the 2010 census, the population was approximately 270. The town is home to the Royalton Coal Camp Historic District, a well-preserved example of a coal company town from the early 20th century. The district includes a variety of buildings, such as houses, a company store, and a school, which reflect the architectural styles of the time.
