Ventress, Louisiana is a village located in the southeastern part of the state. It was incorporated in 1914 and has a population of just over 500 as of the 2020 census. The village is named after William Porcher Miles Ventress, a Confederate army officer and plantation owner. Ventress is home to the historic Ventress Hall, a Greek Revival-style building that was constructed in 1859 and now serves as a community center.
