Holbrook, Massachusetts, US is a small town in Norfolk County, established in 1872, and originally part of the neighboring town of Braintree. It was named after Eliphalet Holbrook, the Chief Justice of Massachusetts. The town has a rich industrial history, with several shoe factories and a button factory operating in the 19th century. A notable landmark is the Holbrook's Old Stone Schoolhouse, built in 1740, which is one of the oldest schoolhouses in the country. Today, Holbrook is a residential community with a population of approximately 11,000.
