Lanesborough, Massachusetts, US is a town in Berkshire County, established in 1765. It was originally part of the town of Lenox and was incorporated as a separate town in 1795. The town is named after Lanesborough, a parish in Wiltshire, England. Lanesborough is home to the historic Chesterwood estate, which was the summer home of Daniel Chester French, the sculptor of the Lincoln Memorial. The estate is now a museum and National Historic Landmark.
